PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE REGIONAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN (RTP), THE AIR QUALITY CONFORMITY, AND THE CURRENT 2006-2010 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (TIP) The Wasatch Front Regional Council (WFRC) is seeking public review and comment on proposed amendments to the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) for the Wasatch Front Region and the current 2006-2010 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and the accompanying air quality conformity analyses. The TIP is a five-year program of highway, transit, and other transportation projects for the Salt Lake and Ogden areas. The RTP serves as the template for transportation development for both highways and public transit in the Wasatch Front Region through the year 2030. The proposed amendments will allow the widening of I-15 from 12^th Street to 27^th North in Weber County and a re-construction of the interchange at 27^th North within the first ten years of the RTP and within the current TIP. Copies of the RTP and TIP amendments and the air quality conformity analyses may be obtained by contacting the WFRC office noted below. A review and comment period for both of the above actions begins on April 1, 2006, and ends on April 30, 2006. The proposed amendments to the TIP and the RTP, and the conformity analyses are available at the WFRC website at www.wfrc.org.
