Ogden/Layton Technical Advisory Committee

 

Utilizing the same general organization as the Wasatch Front Regional Council’s (WFRC) Transportation Coordinating Committee (Trans Com), the Regional Growth Committee (RGC) formed its own Technical Advisory Committee for the Ogden / Layton Metropolitan Area (Ogden-Layton TAC) in February 2004.  The purpose of the TAC is to serve as a technical advisory to the RGC regarding the regional transportation plan (RTP) and the process to develop this guiding policy, and growth related issues.  The TAC also serves as a forum for the exchange of information and ideas on growth related issues.

 

The Ogden / Layton Technical Advisory Committee was established through an agreement between the WFRC and the Utah State Transportation Commission, the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT), and the Utah Transit Authority (UTA).  The Ogden / Layton TAC is made up of urban planners and other professionals representing Davis and Weber Counties, as well as UDOT, UTA, the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and other local agencies.  All city and county planners wishing to attend are invited to do so.  Typical agenda items include presentations and discussion on regional growth, smart growth principles, quality of life issues, the RTP process, open spaces issues and concerns, preservation of transportation corridors, interlocal agreements, updates on city master plans, and general education topics.

 

The Ogden / Layton TAC typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month in the morning.  The meeting agenda will be posted on the main page as it becomes available, usually one week prior to the meeting.  Minutes are posted after the Ogden / Layton TAC members approves them.
