The role of the Air Quality Committee (AQC) is to facilitate coordination of air quality planning and transportation planning. The AQC will review and comment on air quality plans, long range transportation plans, transportation improvement programs, and conformity determinations. Information will be provided to the Committee by the WFRC, the Utah Department of Environmental Quality, and others throughout the development of air quality and transportation plans. The AQC will meet as needed to address the review process described above. The AQC consists of representatives from the Wasatch Front Regional Council, Utah Department of Transportation, Utah Transit Authority, Division of Air Quality, Utah Air Quality Board, County Health, planners, elected officials, Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration, environmental groups, industry, business, and others.
